The Catalytic and Plasma Process Engineering (CPPE) Laboratory at McGill University is co-led by Professor Jan Kopyscinski and Professor Sylvain Coulombe, both esteemed members of the Department of Chemical Engineering. Professor Kopyscinski's research focuses on heterogeneous catalysis, plasma catalysis, and reactor design, with applications in sustainable energy conversion and material synthesis. Professor Coulombe specializes in plasma engineering, particularly in developing novel plasma sources and processes for energy material synthesis, renewable electrical-to-chemical energy conversion and storage, and the circular use of materials. Under their leadership, the CPPE Lab comprises a dynamic team of PhD and master's students, as well as summer and visiting scholars, all collaborating to advance research in catalytic and plasma process engineering.
